Choqué: Otra Vez returns to the site of a foundational performance within my performance art work, The Same Colombian: a tête-à-tête for two (2012), created with in collaboration with Carlos Monroy.

Later in 2012, I re-performed The Same Colombian: a tête-à-tête for two as a solo video art work, Choqué: I collide (2012.)

Choqué: Otra Vez slows the pace of both the performance and its video double by breaking open its archives to bring individual moments of collision between bodies and text into view.

In considering the movement of all three works, The Same Colombian: a tête-à-tête for two, Choqué: I collide, and Choqué: Otra Vez, I am thinking about what is released or revealed through collision, and how sites of collisions can become spaces of play that engage and defy the inscription of identities on the body.
