Audition for Trinity
Performance. (2016)

I thank the crowd and Trinity Reparatory Company for allowing me to audition for their acting company through this public performance. I prepare for my audition by covering my face completely with white grease paint, ad libbing a sycophantic monologue about Trinity Reparatory Company in praise of their then-current production of Oklahoma!, the subject of protests, led by Adrian Blount, in May & June 2016.

I then reveal a program from Trinity Rep.’s production of Oklahoma!. While continuing my words of hyperbolic praise, I soak pages of the program in water and stuff them into my mouth. My audition continues as I try to choke down the program.

After five minutes, the performance concludes.
