The Island

Installation:
Over the course of 24 hours, between 23 May & 24 May 2017, we re-created Homlungen Fyr in miniature: detailing the natural landscape, and its physical structures. A response to four days of living and working on the island in community with other artists, our temporary monument to Homlungen Fyr was left on site and will stand as a reverent homage to the island for as long as it remains.
Performance:
On the evening of May 24th, our colleagues were invited to a miniaturized experience of our time spent living & training together. Through comic compressions of time and space, parody, and irreverence we made visible the tensions between institutional desires (centered on material productivity and economy of time) and the desires of the artists present.
